Poplar Heights Recreation Association was established in 1954 as a non-profit private neighborhood swim and tennis club with limited membership.   The Association offers a six-lane lap pool with adjacent diving well with spring board and slide.  We also offer a separate wading pool for smaller children. There are four lighted, hard-surface tennis courts.  Our picnic area offers gas grills for members’ use with a covered pavilion for relaxed summer snacks and family meals.

Poplar Heights has programs and activities for all ages and abilities – individual and group swim or tennis lessons, the PH Crush Swim Team, and youth, women’s and men’s tennis competition through the Tysons Cup League, family BBQs and adult-only social events. We have a sand volleyball court, basketball court, kid’s playground, and ping pong tables.

A volunteer Board of Directors is elected by membership to serve two-year terms with roughly half of the 13 board members up for election each year. We hold an annual meeting in the fall. All members are invited to attend Board meetings.

Interested in joining? Contact us at membership@poplarheights.org to arrange a tour of our pool, tennis courts and playground area, or stop by anytime during regular hours. See our page for prospective members for more detailed information.
