Poplar Heights Recreation Association is a private, not-for-profit, member-owned club. We limit equity membership to 335 and non-equity membership to 165.
Equity members (also referred to as “shareholders”) must purchase a share, are co-owners of the club, and have voting rights. Non-equity members (also referred to as “renters”) do not need to purchase a share, are not considered co-owners, and do not have voting rights.
Both types of members have access to the pool facilities in the summer and year-round access to the tennis courts, as well as to the remainder of the 10.4-acre property.
The PHRA board voted on February 3, 2021, to re-open the waitlists. Prospective members should contact the PHRA registrar (firstname.lastname@example.org and cc the membership committee chair email@example.com and secretary firstname.lastname@example.org) to express interest in being placed on the equity, non-equity, or both waiting lists and use the form below to pay the one-time $25 waitlist fee. Once the fee has been paid, the registrar will add an interested party to the waitlist and provide a waitlist ID so they can track their status on the lists (links provided below). Interested parties will be listed in the order in which their request and payment was received. Please note -the waitlists are subject to change and your status may go up or down as we work to ensure the waitlists are accurate.
If a prospective member is offered an equity or non-equity membership, they will have ten days to accept or decline. If they decline, they will be removed from the respective waitlist. This does not preclude them from asking to be added to the waitlist in the future.
Update 2/8/2021: Please note the equity/shareholder waitlist has increased significantly as previously omitted applicants were included. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve the transparency and accuracy of the waitlists.
