Poplar Heights Recreation Association is a private, not-for-profit, member-owned club. We limit equity membership to 450 and non-equity membership to 100.

Equity members (also referred to as “shareholders”) must purchase a share, are co-owners of the club, may serve on the Board, and have voting rights. Equity members sell their share back to PHRA (at the current price minus a transfer fee) when they give up their membership.

Non-equity members (also referred to as “renters”) do not need to purchase a share, are not considered co-owners, may not serve on the Board, and do not have voting rights. Renters are welcome to serve on committees formed by the Board.

The current share price $3078.

The 2025 dues for:

  • Shareholders – $700 for the first person and $45 for each additional person
  • Renters – $1125 for the first person and $45 for each additional person

The deadline for current shareholders and renters to pay dues is March 1st of every year.

A fee of $150 will be applied for late payments.

Starting March 17th, the late fee will increase to $275.

Both types of members have access to the pool facilities in the summer and year-round access to the tennis courts, as well as to the remainder of the 10.4-acre property.

Prospective members should fill out the form below to be placed on the equity, non-equity, or both waiting lists and to pay the one-time $25 waitlist fee.  Once the fee has been paid, the registrar will add the interested party to the waitlist. The prospective member can track their status on the lists (links provided below) using their registration date and a waistlist ID that is derived from their first initial along with the first three letters of the last name.  Interested parties will be listed in the order in which their request and payment was received.  Please note -the waitlists are subject to change and your status may go up or down as we work to ensure the waitlists are accurate.

If a prospective member is offered an equity or non-equity membership, and they decline, they will be removed from the waitlist(s).  This does not preclude them from asking to be added to the waitlist in the future.  For more information, please see the membership FAQ page.

Wait List (1)

    The rental waitlist typically turns over quicker than the shareholder waitlist. You will almost certainly be offered a rental before being offered a share.
  • Enter the name of the person who should be contacted if membership becomes available or with any questions regarding the wait list application.
  • We will use this email address to contact you when you are offered a membership. Use an email address that you are sure you will have access to in the future.
  • Please select a user name for your wait list account. You will be able to log in and check your status on the list as well as manage your wait list account with it. *NOTE: If you are already a member or on the wait list at another Member Splash club you will have to pick a unique username for this particular club.
